Series HX-600 Shell-and-Tube Heat Exchanger
VQ-HX600
Fixed tube sheet shell-and-tube exchanger in stainless steel, for liquid-to-liquid and steam-to-liquid duty on process and utility systems.
- SURFACE
- 2 to 60 m²
- SHELL
- DN150 to DN500
- DESIGN PRESSURE
- 10 bar shell, 16 bar tube
- TEMPERATURE
- to +200 °C
Why it is specified
Quoted against a thermal calculation rather than an area. Send the two streams, their flows and their inlet temperatures and the selection comes back with the surface, the pressure drop on both sides and the fouling allowance that was assumed, which is the figure most arguments are actually about.
Typical applications
- Glycol loop interchange
- Heat recovery between streams
- Process cooling with tower water
- Sample coolers
- Steam heating of process liquids
Options and executions
- Duplex 1.4462 tubes for chloride-bearing water
- Insulation and cladding
- Material certificates to EN 10204 3.1
- Removable bundle with a floating head
- Thermal performance calculation issued with the quotation
- U-tube bundle for a higher temperature difference

The datasheet is issued with the selection rather than downloaded blind, so the figures that arrive are the ones for your duty point. Ask for it with the quotation and it comes back as a PDF.
What is in it
- Thermal rating method and the assumptions behind it
- Pressure drop curves, shell side and tube side
- Tube layout drawings for every shell diameter
- Nozzle orientation and bundle withdrawal space
- Cleaning, retubing and plugging limits
Quote the HX-600 for your duty.
Send the process data and the line size. The quotation comes back with the selection, the calculation and the lead time on the stocked variants.
